Bookly
Self-hosted neighborhood book-sharing app for apartment communities with listings, requests, pickup scheduling, and admin tools.

About this project
Bookly is a purpose-built web app for running an internal book-sharing network inside a residential community. Members can list books they own, browse nearby titles, send requests, agree on pickup timing, and track simple request states without leaving the platform. The product is intentionally lighter than a full marketplace: there is no payment gateway, and any fee or refundable deposit is settled directly between neighbors.
The strongest part of the product is the handoff workflow. Owners save their weekly pickup availability on their profile once, and requesters choose from those time slots when they send a request. That removes a lot of the back-and-forth that usually makes small local exchanges messy. Admin tooling is present for basic moderation, and the listing flow is simplified enough for non-technical community members.
